GetIt Downloader does not collect, store or sell personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, in the app or on this website.

Downloading files in the app

When you download a file, your device connects directly to the server that hosts that file. Downloads never pass through our servers and we never see which files you download.

Connect codes (this website)

• When you paste a link on this website and create a code, the link and the code are stored on our server so the app can look them up.
• They are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
• We do not ask for, or store, your name, email address or any account details.
• When you enter a code in the app, only that code is sent to our server.

Blocklist updates

The app occasionally downloads a list of unsupported websites from our server. No personal data is sent with this request.

Server logs

Like most web servers, ours may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) for a short period to keep the service secure and prevent abuse. The links you submit are not written to these logs.

Data on your device

• Your download history is stored only on your device and is not backed up to the cloud. Uninstalling the app removes it.
• Downloaded files are saved in the Downloads/GetIt folder and stay on your device until you delete them.

Permissions

• Internet: to download files and look up connect codes.
• Notifications: to show download progress.
• Storage (Android 9 and older only): to save files into the Downloads folder.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
